The five-minute Tuesday

The whole job, three moves.

1

Tuesday: check the sheet

Open the week. Kevin's out? Tap his slot, pick a sub from the bench, done. The schedule and flights update themselves.

2

Wednesday: play golf

After the round, one person keys the cards in — 90 seconds for a 16-player night. No player accounts, no player phones on the greens.

3

Standings post themselves

Quotas re-roll, the corkboard updates, movement arrows show who's climbing. Screenshot it to the group chat and go home.

Built for league night

Everything the spreadsheet did, without the spreadsheet.

Roster & flights

Players, A/B flights by current form, and a subs bench. Re-flight at midseason with one tap — the fair-flighting playbook is built in.

Schedule & sub swaps

Every week on one sheet. Mark a regular out, slide a sub in — the sub plays on their own number, standings stay honest.

Simple handicaps, honestly

Quota (chase your own number) or simple net (best 3 of last 5 at 90%). The formula is printed on the board. It is not WHS, and we say so.

The corkboard standings

The signature. Pinned cards, movement arrows, T-ranks that split ties the way a real league would. Made to be screenshotted.

Season money board

Dues charged, dues collected, payouts planned — the whole pot on one honest screen. Tracker only — never holds or moves money

The Commissioner

Wick answers rulings and format questions from a graded, cited knowledge base — Rules of Golf, Rules of Handicapping, league doctrine. On your device, free. AI add-on optional

No fine print, just print

Honest math, on the record.

Our handicaps are simple — and we never call them WHS

Quota: your number is the rounded average of your last 3 rounds' points (bogey 1, par 2, birdie 4, eagle 8). Week 1 seeds your first round as your quota, so nobody wins their debut by construction.

Simple net: 90% of the average of your best 3 of your last 5 (gross − par) rounds at your league course, floored at zero. No Course Rating, no Slope, no PCC — so it is not the World Handicap System, and FlightNight will never represent it as one. Fair for your Wednesday; not valid anywhere else.

The money board never touches money

It's arithmetic on numbers you type: dues charged, marked collected, payouts planned. FlightNight has no connection to any payment network. Marking "paid" changes a checkbox — your league's money stays in your league's hands.

Why I built this

I was the league guy with the spreadsheet.

For years I ran our Wednesday nine. Every week was the same three chores: patch the sub into the tab so the formulas didn't break, chase four guys on Venmo for dues, then rebuild the standings by hand so I could screenshot them to the group chat. The golf was the easy part.

I built FlightNight to do exactly those three chores and nothing I didn't need — swap a sub in one tap, watch the money board without ever touching the money, and let the corkboard rebuild itself so the only thing I do Wednesday night is send the screenshot. It stays on my phone, my players never make an account, and one flat price covers the whole league.

— Mike, Apps 4 That

Organizer pays. Players never do.

One flat price for the whole league.

Per-player league software charges $10–20 a head and makes you collect it. That's the chore this app exists to kill.

Straight answers.

Are these real WHS handicaps?

No, and we never pretend otherwise. FlightNight runs a quota system and a simple course-difference net system — published formulas, fair for your league's own standings, not valid as a WHS Handicap Index. Players who keep a real Index should keep posting through their club.

Does the money board hold or move money?

Never. It tracks who owes what and what payouts are planned — arithmetic on numbers you type. Collection and payouts happen wherever your league already does them. FlightNight has no connection to any payment system.

Do my players have to pay or make accounts?

No. One organizer buys the Season Pass; players never pay the app and never need accounts. Score entry is organizer-side, so nobody has to install anything.

Is it built for 9-hole weeknight leagues?

That's exactly the shape it's built for: 9 holes, 12–24 players, 7–12 weeks, one volunteer running it. 18-hole cards work too.

Where does league data live?

On the organizer's device, first and by default. The optional AI Commissioner sends your question (plus retrieved rule cards) to the server when you ask it one; the free coach runs entirely on-device. See the privacy page for the full picture.
